I now get the hype. Shaving is smooth, my skin gets really smooth and there's no friction when shaving. No signs of irritation. Skin is smooth like a baby's butt.

  • Material: Brass With Plated Metal
  • Weight: 68g/2.4oz
  • Angle: 30Β°
  • Aggression: Mild/Medium
  • Head: Butterfly Open
  • Razor: Standard Double-Edge

It's a much better fit than what you're currently using. Most irritation comes from pressure, not the blade.

Because cartridge razors are so light, you press down without realising it, which drags and irritates skin.

The SL-1's weight does that work for you, so your hand just guides it. Less pressure, fewer passes, less irritation.

Yes, the SL-1 has solid brass with a plated metal finish incorporated into it's build. There's no plastic to crack, no cheap components to wear out. If there's ever a manufacturing defect β€” broken threads, warped base plate, top cap failure β€” we'll replace it free of charge, no expiry date. One replacement per purchase record, and a flat shipping fee applies.

Depends on your hair type and goals:

  • If you suffer from razor burn or ingrowns: Swap the blade every single time you shave until your skin clears up. A fresh, surgically sharp edge ensures zero friction, zero pulling, and zero bacteria transfer.
  • If you have thick, coarse hair: Change the blade every 2 to 3 shaves. Thick hair tests a blade's edge quickly. Because the SL-1 relies on the substantial weight of its solid metal build to glide through hair effortlessly, keeping a razor-sharp edge prevents the blade from catching or tugging on dense regrowth.
  • If you're lazy: Our blades are good for 2-4 shaves before you have to switch them out.

You get your money back. All of it.

We understandβ€”you’ve likely been dealing with razor burn and painful ingrowns for years. You've tried different multi-blade cartridges, expensive subscription clubs, and soothing balms, but the irritation always comes back.

Give it one more shot. Because we didn't just source a generic razorβ€”we obsessed over the weight, the solid metal build, and the exact blade gap required to cut hair effortlessly without pulling. We tested it ourselves, put prototypes in the hands of everyday guys with all hair-types and refined it until it was perfect.

Your Skin Has Changed Your Razor Should Too.

As men age, skin naturally becomes thinner, drier, and slower to recover. Collagen drops. Oil production slows. The protective barrier weakens. What this means practically: the shave that felt fine at 30 leaves you red and irritated at 50.

Cartridge razors make it worse. Multiple blades dragging across already-sensitive skin with every stroke is a recipe for razor burn β€” not a solution to it.

The SL-1 uses a single sharp blade that cuts cleanly at skin level, with no tugging and no repeated dragging. Less mechanical stress on the skin. Less irritation. A cleaner, more comfortable result β€” every morning.

Here's What Switching Actually Feels Like

A safety razor for me has turned something that I looked at as a chore, that I dreaded, has become a relaxing experience that I now look forward to. It takes time and patience, but every safety razor shave for me has been better than any cartridge shave ever.
One of the best shaving razors, i own. I couldn’t believe how well it shaved for the price. Great product.
Literally after one use, my razor burn was gone. Face was feeling like nothing id ever experienced from either an electric or a cartridge razor before. During the first week, I shaved daily, I have not been able to do this for the past 5 or 6 years.
For someone who has not once been able to shave two days in a row due to razor burn, I am excited to be able to Shave every day or every second day.
Exceptional device. Extremely precise, cutting close and smooth at the same time. Absolutely no cuts or irritation on the skin after the first use of this device with three passes. Great for daily use. I recommend it for beginners and experienced users. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
I can’t be bothered shaving everyday, so it is every other day, or sometimes every three days. This razor with the right blades makes shaving a lot easier even with my thick regrowth.

Easier Than You Think

Step 1

Put In a Sharp Blade
Twist to open SL-1 and put in a sharp blade. Twist again to shut and the head will hold the blade secure at a safe angle.

Step 2

Lather It Up
Add water directly to your shave soap and vigorously mix to create a protective nourishing lather. We recommend using a shave soap for a smoother shave but foam/cream will work fine.

Step 3

Apply Soap With Brush
Use your shave brush to generously apply a protective layer of lather to your neck and face. The soft brush helps exfoliate your skin as you apply the lather.

Step 4

Light Pressure
Use quick short strokes when shaving. The key is to let the heavy weight and sharp blade cut through your hair, just simply guide it. Rinse frequently.

You Won't Cut Yourself

The top cap clamps the blade into a fixed position every time you assemble it β€” locked flat, same angle, no guesswork. The guard bar you can see in front of the blade edge stretches your skin taut before the blade touches it, so it glides cleanly across rather than dragging or digging in.

You don't have to find the right angle. The razor holds it for you.
